How DA Electrical London Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal data, and the rights you have under UK data-protection law.
This policy explains how DA Electrical London Ltd ("we", "us", "our") handles the personal data of visitors to our website and people who contact us for a quote or service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data lawfully and transparently under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are
DA Electrical London Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10922264) with our registered office at 45 Rensburg Road, London, E17 7HL. You can reach us at info@daelectricallondon.co.uk or on 07727 619854.
Where the law requires it, we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.
2. The information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to your enquiry and provide our services. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
- Property & project details — the property postcode, property type, the type of work you need, your preferred contact method and any description you give us through our quote form, by phone, email or WhatsApp.
- Communications — the content of messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical & usage data — if you consent to analytics cookies, limited information about how you use the site (see section 6). We do not collect this until you consent.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not collect special category data through this website.
3. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange the work you have asked about;
- contact you about your enquiry by your preferred method (call, text/WhatsApp or email);
- carry out and administer any services you go on to book with us;
- keep records required for our accreditations, insurance and legal obligations;
- understand and improve how our website is used, where you have consented to analytics.
Our lawful bases. When you send us an enquiry we rely on legitimate interests (responding to a request you have initiated) and, where you go ahead, the performance of a contract with you. Where we have a legal duty — for example certification or tax records — we rely on legal obligation. For non-essential cookies and analytics we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for third-party marketing. We share it only where necessary with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — for example Formspree (formspree.io), which receives submissions from our online quote form and forwards them to us by email, and our email provider. These act on our instructions under appropriate data-processing terms.
- Analytics providers — if you consent to analytics cookies (see section 6).
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses).
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate business records. If your enquiry does not lead to work, we typically delete it within 24 months. Where you become a customer, we keep records for as long as required by law and our insurance and certification obligations (commonly six years after the work). We then securely delete or anonymise the data.
6. Cookies & analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website works using only essential cookies. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies unless and until you accept them using the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve it. This sets cookies and processes limited usage data. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set.
You can change your choice at any time by selecting "Cookie Policy" in the footer of any page, which reopens the cookie banner. You can also clear or block cookies using your browser's privacy controls. We do not use cookies to identify you personally or to build advertising profiles.
7. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used (this policy);
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing of your data;
- data portability, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 10. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
8. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data-protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Please check back periodically.
