Electricians in West End London — homes & business
Friendly, NICEIC-approved electricians for homes across Marylebone, Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Oxford Circus and Covent Garden — fuse boards, rewires, sockets, lighting and fault finding, done tidily at a fixed price. The same team also delivers commercial and listed-building electrical work for the area's retail, hospitality and office premises.
Electricians for homes in the West End
From a Marylebone mansion flat to a Fitzrovia conversion, we carry out safe, certified electrical work for homeowners across the West End, explained in plain English.
Much of the housing stock here is Georgian and Victorian — mansion blocks, converted terraces and period conversions — often still running an older fuse board or wiring that's due an upgrade. We work carefully within period fabric, agree a fixed price before we start, and hand over a certificate for the finished job, whether that's a single faulty circuit or a full rewire.
EICR & landlord safety certificates
Whether you're a homeowner selling a Mayfair flat, a landlord letting a Fitzrovia conversion, or managing a small portfolio, an EICR tells you exactly where an installation stands, classified as C1, C2, C3 or FI. Full detail on how it works and how often landlords need one sits on our EICR & electrical safety testing page.
Commercial electrical & fit-out work in the West End
Marylebone, Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Oxford Circus and Covent Garden share a building type most of London doesn't — Georgian and Victorian conversions, listed shopfronts and theatre-district premises — alongside flagship retail, hospitality and CAT A/CAT B office fit-outs. We plan containment and routing to suit conservation-area and listed-building consent, and phase disruptive work around trading hours so a shop or restaurant never loses supply mid-service.
A converted Georgian or Victorian floor rarely has the riser or plant room a purpose-built commercial block would, so distribution has to fit around what the building already has. That matters more here than elsewhere in London because occupancy is dense for the floor area — consulting rooms, flagship retail and hospitality units all pack more equipment onto a smaller footprint, which raises the bar on small power and load planning before a single cable gets run.
Commercial & landlord services
We work for managing agents of prestige office buildings, retail and hospitality occupiers fitting out a unit, and developers running a CAT A or CAT B programme — delivered to a fixed programme with certification ready at handover. Compliance testing — fixed wire EICRs, fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, PAT testing — is covered in full on our EICR & electrical safety testing page, and the full commercial and M&E scope sits on our commercial electrician & M&E page.

Amazing experience and professional and experienced. Would recommend.
Used DA to swap out our old fuse board as it was ancient and kept tripping. Lads turned up when they said, got it done in a few hours and left no mess. New unit looks miles better and got all the paperwork through after. Can't fault them
DA Electrical resolved our plumbing issues when fitting our bathroom. Included new pipework as well as connections. Neat tidy work and very considerate, kept us informed every step of the way. Pleased they did the electrics and plumbing. Highly recommended
DA Electrical replaced our old fuse board and sorted the wiring in our flat in Walthamstow. Turned up on time, explained everything clearly, and left the place spotless. Fully certified and a fair price — wouldn't hesitate to recommend them
Easy communication and clear information about costs. Very polite and completed the job to our satisfaction. Thank you!
Great price — Honest, on time and professional.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. We agree a fixed price with you before any work starts, based on the job — no hourly surprises and no hidden charges.
Yes. DA Electrical London is an NICEIC Approved Contractor and all electrical work is carried out to BS 7671, the 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Yes. Much of the West End sits inside a conservation area, and a large share of it is listed. We plan containment and routing to keep intervention to original fabric to a minimum, work to whatever consent conditions the freeholder or managing agent has in place, and use discreet surface or void routing where chasing isn't an option. Where listed building consent is required for the works, that sits with the freeholder or their agent — we design and deliver to whatever is approved.
By splitting the programme into sections that don't all need the supply down at once, and by scheduling the disruptive stages for evenings, weekends or the hours a unit is already closed. Testing programmes on multi-let buildings are phased floor by floor so the rest of the building keeps operating. Availability is every day, 7am to 7pm, which gives more room to fit disruptive work around trading hours than a standard weekday slot allows.
It depends on the lease, but the usual pattern is that the landlord is responsible for the base building — incoming supply, risers, landlord's distribution and common-part circuits — while the tenant is responsible for their own CAT B fit-out within the demise. We work for either side, and where the works cross the boundary we coordinate with the managing agent so both parties get the certification their side needs.
Yes — most West End sites sit inside the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones, loading bays are limited and often timed, and building access can require a booked lift slot or a permit from the managing agent. We factor all of that into the programme before work starts, rather than discovering it on site.
